Starch analysis in Cattle feed
18 August 2015
In feed formulation there is an ongoing discussion in the correct determination of starch content in products that contain high sugar levels.
The choice between the polarimetric (Ewers) method or the Enzymetic method is usually based on economic or qualitative reasons.
Qualitatively the Enzymatic method is preferred because the distortion of the present sugars in the Ewers method affects the result.
From this moment we offer both parameters in our Cattle Feed calibrations.
